Charvel Surfcaster - all original sunburst - immaculate

Charvel Surfcaster - Sunburst immaculate condition
All original Charvel Surfcaster. If you know guitars you'll know how rare and sought after these guitars are. My example is in fantastic condition for its age - circa 1992-93 although these guitars are pretty hard to date if you've done any research. This is the early Japanese made version, not the cheaper Jackson or Eastwood copies from later on.
As you can see from the photos, the whole guitar is in fabulous original condition with a beautiful figured maple top and mahogany back with scarf jointed neck and matching flame headstock. The pictures really don't do this guitar justice.
maple-capped mahogany body, 2 Chandler Lipstick single-coil pickups, 3-way switching with a hidden push-push phase inverter switch in the tone knob. Semi-hollow construction with a bound cat's-eye soundhole; full body, neck & headstock binding; which has beautifully aged along with the pearloid pickguard. Uniquely angled rosewood fretboard features 22 frets on the low string side, and 24 frets on the higher strings for reaching the highest notes. Maple neck with sharkfin inlays looks as good as it sounds! Original tuners adorn the matching orange headstock.
Made at the acclaimed Chushin-Gakki factory in Japan, this guitar lives up to the legends- flawless fit & finish, smooth and fast playability, and absolutely stunning jangly sounds.
I believe in being 100% honest so I have to mention there are 3-4 very light scratches in the lacquer only just in between the bridge and bridge pick up from some wayward guitar strings (I suspect before my time with the guitar) and a very light scratch near the shark fin, again just in the top lacquer. None of these are visible unless you look very closely. There is also a small dink on the side of the guitar about the size of a match head. Otherwise the guitar is in fantastic condition with no fret wear. The side of the side/rear corner mahogany wood is a slightly lighter colour but this is not damage or any other issue like fading - this is how the guitar was made and just gives it an individual character.
The guitar comes with the original tremolo arm and non-original hard case. This is a very reluctant sale but other than the occasional bedroom practice it doesn't get used enough and cash is needed for my son's university costs.
These are very rare guitars in the UK and most of the ones on sale tend to be in the US and are between £1100-£1500 plus import costs so grab a bargain!
You're free to come and try the guitar by appointment. No time wasters and I will not post - collection only from Billericay please.
Thanks for looking.
